Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does the flat $10K fee include?
The fee includes an onsite presentation for your audience by an experienced, proven, award-winning speaker of your choosing. That presentation can consist of anything from a short, main-stage “TED-style” presentation to keynote of 30, 60 or 90 minutes and/or a breakout session of various lengths.
To be clear, if the time obligation before or during the presentation seems overly arduous, any speaker has the right to decline the 10K offer.
What expenses are included in the flat-rate?

Clients pay a fair, flat feee of $10K, plus covers the hotel charges on the master account. The speaker covers all additional expenses themselves. No receipts are submitted and no additional fees are paid.

What if our budget for a speaker is less than $10K?

You are always free to approach lesser speakers, but you will not find them on our website. The market is full of them. At 10KSpeakers We only offer proven, talented, high content speakers — without the celebrity price tag.

How does the fair, flat fee work?

Its simple: One half ($5K) is required as a deposit in order for the speaker to take a date off of their calendar. The other half is due two weeks prior to the engagement.

What if we want more than a keynote or breakout? Or if we want a speaker over multiple days?

For additional services or time commitment, we will work with you and the speaker negotiate a reasonable upgrade that is fair to all.

How does your bureau work?

The contract is through 10KSpeakers, but all the logistics will be coordinated between you and the speaker you select. Once contracted, we do not insert ourselves into the conversation between you and your presenter.

*Special note on lower fee speakers:

Please understand that other speakers who speak for much less are not accepting lower fees out of the goodness of their heart. They speak for less because they are not good enough to consistently command $10K. We do not offer speakers at lower levels of skill or experience. — Just top speakers who command a $10k fee.

Inappropriate expense reports are costly—both to the company’s bottom line and to the careers of the people who submit them.

Tim Hird

Executive Director, Robert Half

I don’t like to submit expenses while traveling. I want my clients to remember the standing ovation, not what I ordered for dinner at Applebees.

David Avrin

One of our biggest challenges is managing expenses for our events. We prefer to work on a flat-fee structure with our speakers. No expenses and no surprises.
